Westley Thomas
Westley Thomas, a native New Yorker was born in the Bronx and raised on Staten Island. After graduating from Port Richmond High School in 1965 he enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam 1966-1968.
On April 22, 1967, Corporal W. Thomas received a Letter of Appreciation from Commanding General, L.B. Robertshaw for serving as a member of the 1st. Marine Aircraft Wings Contingency Reaction Force.

A Hard Decision
William and Zera were childhood sweethearts who married after high school. However, their joy was short-lived. William was deployed to Vietnam to serve his country, leaving behind a devasted Zera. Like many families affected by war, William and Zera’s lives were forever changed. Despite their efforts to hold on, they were torn apart by the war. When Zera received news of Williams death, the pain seemed insurmountable.
